Right on the water - good food Believe it or not, there are few restaurants that are actually ON the beach along the Grand Strand. Bummz is not only one of them, you can literally walk from your table inside or on the patio directly onto the sand. Food is adequate ... certainly good enough to make the experience excellent. Great ambiance, our server was super friendly and fast. I had the mahi salad and got a large piece of mahi. The husband had boom boom shrimp tacos, which had a lot of shrimp, it wasn't a skimpy portion. We also had boom boom shrimp for an appetizer. My only complaint would be I wanted a larger portion. We would definitely go back for a lunch date but I also think it would be good to bring my kids, ages 7-11 back for an early evening dinner.
Best place to watch Sunday football with family. Manager Waylon and Server Graham were excellent. Fair prices and good service. What more do you want? PS: They have free parking!
I've driven and walked by this place so many times in all our visits but thought it was just a beach bar. This time we stayed right down the road so I looked into it more and glad we did. It was a cute beachfront bar/ restaurant. We sat inside because it was a little toasty out. We order the fried shrimp and grouper fingers all delicious. The strawberry daiquiri was perfect start to night 1 of vacation.
For Thursday night dinner, we decided to visit Bummz Beach Cafe. They had a few drink specials for happy hour. Dad had Lemonade, Hubby had the Palmetto Mule, and I had the wells drink with vodka, cranberry and pineapple juices. The ambiance was nice with indoor, outdoor covered area, and full outdoor experience. Dad and hubby shared the Clam Chowder bowl. Hubby was happy with his Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos. We got Dad the kids Grilled Cheese with cole slaw. I had the half pound Steamed Shrimp. Though I had to work for my food, it was so fresh and good. Thankful that there's a parking lot across the street for free.Great ocean side spot.
A lot of times these tourist attraction areas have subpar restaurants that rely heavily on no better options. This is NOT one of them! The service was excellent from the beginning. The hostess was kind, polite and quickly sat me. The server was even more friendly and helpful. She quickly ran through all her favorites and did a great job of making my mind up for me. The place is large, beautiful, and overlooking the beach. As far as ambiance goes, you can't get much better than this. The fish tacos were surprisingly good, bordering on my "best of all time " list. Perfect temperature, texture, seasoning, and accoutrements. This place is amazing and definitely worth a visit
Me and my wife decided to sneak out and have a little personal vacation brunch date and this was the perfect spot. Super friendly staff and we loved sitting on the patio and getting to hear music and sea the gorgeous ocean. My wife got the house salad and I got the clam chowder and we shared the grouper tenders (so good!). This was just such a cute little beach hideaway and we might have to sneak back again sometime.
